Coal Valley Orchard is based in Tasmania which located off the Southeast corner of mainland Australia. Tasmania is Australia’s smallest state in terms of both size and population, yet is a major tourist attraction due to the diverse and spectacular scenery, unspoilt wilderness and heritage.

 

Many Tasmanian food producers rely on Tasmania’s pristine environment to manufacture high quality delicacies. Coal Valley Orchard is one of them.

The Coal River Valley is a premium growing region within Tasmania and proudly boasts many of the state's leading stonefruit/pomefruit orchards and vineyards. Since being established in the late 1990's approximately 45 hectares has been put into cherries, apricots and apples. An excellent management program has been adopted in the orchard which includes constant upgrading of fruit varieties in line with market demand. The number of cherry plantings are being increased each season as demand for this excellent produce is also ever increasing. Everything produced in the orchard is also processed and packed on farm in the state of the art packing shed. We also have Fresh Care system which is in compliance with the highest Australian Food Safety Standards. 

 

In Coal Valley Orchard, we strive to grow premium cherries that are large, firm and sweet. We are very fortunate to be in Tasmania where the cool climate allows us to achieve the best result. Every fruit tree has been well looked after with our love and care and each cherry is hand picked from the tree, packed fresh and sent by airfreight to our valued customers.
